The Passplus scheme was devised by government agencies in a bid to limit the number of accidents casued by or involving new drivers. It is a training course which is available after you have passed your test. The content and recording of the course is controlled by the Driving Standards Agency's Passplus section. The aim is to cover as many as possible of the important aspects of driving which you will not necessarily have encountered before passing your test, including motorways, night driving and city driving. The rules state that "only instructors who are suitably qualified and graded" may provide this training. Indeed any Passplus instructor has to be approved and specifically registered by that organisation.

Completing Passplus may save you a large amount of money on your car insurance. But more importantly it might just save you from injury or worse.
